A large group of Ipswich students upgrading their academic, library and life skills through the QUEST program were honoured on May 30.

The Queensland University Excellence in Skills Training (QUEST) Awards were presented at the official ceremony at the 快播色情片 Ipswich auditorium.

The awards were presented to students of the Ipswich Campus who attended at least six workshops during the semester outside of their scheduled classes to enhance their skills in the areas of academic, library and life skills.

Among most popular are the Effective Time and Study Management, and Preventing Burnout workshops.

Student Services Manager Shereen Metry developed the program and has seen a marked increase in the number of students taking part each year.

鈥淲e started with 39 students in Semester One in 2010 and have just presented awards to 123 students,鈥 she said.

Commencing in 2010, the program is exclusive to the 快播色情片 Ipswich Campus and is an initiative of the Ipswich Student Services team in collaboration with the 快播色情片 Ipswich Library.

It has been designed to encourage students to be proactive about their studies, challenge them to realise their goals, explore new ideas and empower them with valuable life skills.

鈥淚 am so proud of all the students who have taken the time and effort to participate. Not only have they had the chance to push themselves academically, but also gain confidence and challenge themselves.

鈥淎t the ceremony we recognised their achievements and celebrated their success.鈥

Due to the success of the awards, all undergraduate programs at Ipswich now have these workshops embedded into their schedule during their first year, in addition to the workshops available for all students.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Rix, a strong supporter of the program, presented the awards.

鈥淲hile we presented 123 awards, it must be noted that over 400 Ipswich students participated in workshops during this semester,鈥 said Professor Rix.

鈥淣ot only does that speak volumes about the keenness of our students to engage and learn, but also promotes the excellent opportunities available to them at the Ipswich campus,鈥 said Professor Rix.

快播色情片 Ipswich Campus, through the QUEST Awards, is not only giving its students the chance to enhance their academic skills, but realising the importance of life skills and creating well rounded leaders for tomorrow.
