Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) Professor Bronwyn Fredericks was elected a Fellow of the Academy for her contributions as a multidisciplinary scholar and advocate for strengthening education, health and participation outcomes for First Nations communities.
Professor Fredericks was among five inaugural members of the Academy’s new Indigenous Studies section.

Election to the Academy is the highest honour in Australian humanities, with Professor Fredericks and Professor Mushin among 40 new Fellows announced this week.
